Are you or a loved one at risk for prediabetes? The Bear River Health Department teaches a Diabetes Prevention Class that will be starting this month.

Prediabetes means your blood sugar level is higher than normal, but not high enough to be diagnosed as Diabetes. More than 80% of people with Prediabetes don’t know they have it. Without making changes, diabetes is likely to develop.

Some risk factors include:

  • Age 45 or older
  • Overweight
  • Less than 3 days of physical activity a week
  • Diabetes while pregnant or greater than a 9-pound baby

Make the change for a healthier lifestyle today by joining the year-long National Diabetes Prevention Program. To learn more about our National Diabetes Prevention Program click here.

Class starts March 29, 2023, 5:30 – 6: 30 pm. An information session will be held on March 22nd. For Questions call 435-792-6510.
