Bear River Health Department has received multiple reports of Swimmer’s Itch occurring among users at the following bodies of water:

Mantua Reservoir

“The Pond” at Willard Bay (this is separate from Willard Bay itself, on the north side of the north marina)

Swimmer’s Itch is an irritating, yet harmless rash caused by an allergic reaction to microscopic parasites. These parasites are most often found in the shallow water of lakes and ponds during the summer months. For more information on Swimmer’s Itch click HERE.
