On October 11, 2023, the Bear River Health Department’s Board of Health voted unanimously to support the fluoridation of public drinking water as a public health measure.

The Board of Health was approached in August by the Utah Oral Health Coalition asking for a written statement in support of fluoridated drinking water. The Board reviewed the information presented and voted in October to support efforts to establish and maintain acceptable levels of fluoridation in community drinking water systems as a public health measure to improve and sustain oral health in the population.
